Private Gulf Shores & Orange Beach AL Deep Sea Fishing Charters
Alabama deep sea fishing charters for reef fish, also known as bottom fishing, have been one of the most popular off-shore fishing trips off our shores for decades. Gulf of Mexico waters off the Alabama coast are a salt water anglers paradise, including fishing grounds of one of the world’s largest artificial reef zones (3108 km2, 20,000 structures). Since the 1950’s, our captains continue to invest in building these “private” fishing spots for their angler’s saltwater adventures. Our reefs have become the home to a diverse population of Reef Fish Species including snapper, groupers, amberjack and triggerfish. Click here to view the Deep Sea Bottom Fish we catch.
Alabama Deep Sea Fishing
We offer access to dozens of Off Shore Fishing Vessels and can find the right one for you!
AAA Charters specializes in learning about your group of anglers to match you with a vessel, captain & crew that can provide your ideal fishing trip. Typical travel time to the first fishing spot is an 1 hr – 1½ hr. Once the captain has reached a reef, they will hover above and everyone has an opportunity to fish for the reef fish below. In order to maintain the sustainability of our fishery, we only remove a few fish from each habitat, and move on to another reef. We realize deckhands are crucial to your fishing experience. Our mates are there to demonstrate fishing techniques, educate your group to fish we target, and assist you throughout your fishing adventure.

Deep Sea Fishing in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach AL
Summer & Fall 2016
Near Shore Trolling Trips
During the spring months we target the big bull redfish that travel along our coasts. Typical trolling trips along the beaches are 4-6 Hrs long and typically stay within the sight of land. During trolling trips, the boat is always moving with a couple baited lines set from the back of the boat. When a fish is on, the deckhand will usually hand the reel to the closest angler and the fight is on! The redfish and mackerel are attracted to the moving baits. As the water temperatures rise as spring approaches, the spanish & king mackerel bite will heat back up. Late March & April the annual cobia run is on and our captains love to reel in these tasty fish! The first cobia of 2016 were caught on March 20, and our captains continue to target this local favorite fish to catch.
Gulf of Mexico Offshore Bottom Fishing Charters
The populations of a variety reef fish are abundant off the shores of our Alabama & Northern Florida shores. We can target these fish on 6 & 8 Hr (or longer) deep sea fishing trips. Greater Amberjack will be closed from June 1 – July 31, 2016.
