Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council announced 2017 Red Snapper Harvest in Federal Waters on Permitted Charter Boats 12:01 AM June 1, 2017 – July 19 11.59 PM
The waters of the Gulf of Mexico extending 9 Miles to 200 nautical miles off our shores and are currently regulated by the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council. The only charter boats that can legally fish in Federal Waters must have Gulf of Mexico permits to do so. Now new permits are issued, the number of permits has been capped for years, regulated and new fishing charter businesses must purchase and transfer an existing permit. AAA Charters INC takes great care of selecting the captain, crew & boat that is best for our customers & their budget. We don’t operate on a strict rotation of vessels that have to be booked in a certain order.
